Biography

Li Chunxiao, Ph.D. from the University of Nottingham, UK, is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the College of Tourism and Service Management, Nankai University. She has been selected for the Tianjin “131” Innovative Talent Training Program and has been recognized as an Outstanding Young Scholar by the International Association for China Tourism Studies and is a member of the Nankai University Hundred Young Academic Leaders Program. Her main research focuses on the uniqueness and foundational theories of tourism, as well as the application of digital tourism and artificial intelligence. With over 40 publications in leading journals, she has six highly-cited papers and has led three projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one major project by the Ministry of Education (as sub-project leader), and one general project of Humanities and Social Science by the Ministry of Education. Under her guidance, student teams have won multiple national and provincial awards, including the grand prize in the 18th “Challenge Cup” competition. She is an editorial board member for leading journals like TM, ATR, HSSC, and JHTR.
