Welcome to IACTS!

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the website of the International Association for China Tourism Studies (IACTS). Established in 2015 by seven co-founding fellows from mainland China, Hong Kong, Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States, IACTS has grown into a vibrant international community of scholars.

​

As a global association dedicated to advancing China tourism research, we are committed to promoting ethical and rigorous scholarship, fostering theoretical developments in the Chinese context, and encouraging international collaboration and scholarly exchange. IACTS also serves as a bridge between the tourism research communities in China and the wider world, while nurturing the next generation of researchers through training, mentorship, and career guidance. In addition, we provide knowledge-based consulting services to governments, industry, and international organizations.
