Biography
Dr Songshan (Sam) Huang is Vice Chancellor’s Professorial Research Fellow, Professor of Tourism and Services Marketing in the School of Business and Law, Edith Cowan University, Australia. He is the Head of the Centre for Tourism Research at Edith Cowan University, and the Founding Director of Australia-China Tourism Research Network (ACTReNet). He serves as the current President of the International Association for China Tourism Studies (IACTS). Dr. Huang is the Editor-in-Chief of Tourism Planning and Development and serves on the editorial boards of 9 international tourism and hospitality journals and 4 tourism research journals in China. He is a leading researcher in the fields of China tourism and destination marketing. He is a ‘Top 2% scientist’ in the world ranked by Sandford/Elsevier. Dr. Huang has both industry and academic experiences in mainland China, Hong Kong and Australia, and is ideally positioned to bridge the tourism academia and industries between China and Australia.
