Yang Yang

Biography

Dr. Yang Yang is Professor and Department Chair at the School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management (STHM), Temple University, where he also serves as Arthur F. McGonigle Research Fellow and Executive Director of the U.S.–Asia Center for Tourism and Hospitality Research. His research focuses on tourism economics, hospitality real estate, and big data analytics, with over 150 refereed publications in leading journals such as Annals of Tourism Research, Tourism Management, Journal of Travel Research, and International Journal of Hospitality Management. Recognized among the Top 2% Scientists Worldwide by Stanford University, Dr. Yang has received numerous awards for his scholarly contributions and has undertaken editorial work for multiple top-tier journals in tourism and hospitality. He has also played an active role in advancing global academic collaborations and industry partnerships, helping shape knowledge and practice at the intersection of tourism, hospitality, and data-driven research.
